Higher Institutions and Secondary Schools’ Association Nepal (HISSAN) was established in 2053 BS (1997 AD) as an umbrella organization of private schools and colleges that are running classes from grade nine to university level throughout Nepal. The mission of HISSAN is to produce patriotic, disciplined, and highly righteous global citizens by enhancing the quality of education and excellent education in Nepal.
HISSAN is committed to providing high standards of education to equip the students with the knowledge, skills, technology, and values needed to cope with the national, regional, and global challenges so that they can achieve phenomenal success and completion in life-long learning and service. By far, HISSAN has become conducive to quality education in Nepal since its inception, which is substantiated by the performance of its graduates every year.
Aims
- To offer required counseling services for the development of higher institutions and secondary schools' instructional programs.
- To share information about mutual educational and scientific development concerns among higher institutions and secondary schools to improve teaching and learning quality.
- To safeguard and develop the professional rights of the founders, principals, instructors, and workers, as well as their investment in higher institutions and secondary schools.
- To organize seminars, workshops, dialogues, and lectures on a variety of topics to maintain the quality of education.
- To create novel instructional activities for successful teaching, as well as to conduct beneficial training at various levels and on various topics.
- To give advice and ideas to the Nepalese government on a variety of problems.
- To publicize, disseminate, and undertake a study on many facets of school as well as higher education.
- To produce, test, create, and distribute textbooks with the goal of improving educational quality.
- To work for the improvement of the evaluation system for the best result.
- To coordinate educational activities with national and international organizations and establish mutual collaboration center for excellence exchange.
